Get Involved - Community Development Workshops
Workshops are held on Monday nights once a month and provide an opportunity to get to know other people who will be living at Illabunda, to learn more of what Illabunda is about, ask questions of the team and join in shaping the development of the community and the village.
Subjects which have been covered at the workshops include:
- The Community Management Statement, the bylaws which will underpin living at Illabunda
- The decision making process to be used in managing the village
- Colour and materials palettes for the housing within the village
- Cats and dogs at Illabunda
- Fencing between lots
- The community facilities and their uses
- The community swimming pool
- Community levies
- Pricing of lots and dwellings
- Building materials and construction
- Solar energy
- Water systems
- Telecommunication systems
- Shared resources
- Living in an Eco Village
- Local Energy Trading Schemes (LETS)
